I am a confessional Lutheran. I believe the Holy Scriptures are God’s inspired and inerrant Word, and I subscribe to the Lutheran Confessions because they faithfully confess what Scripture teaches.
Christ for sinners
Christianity is not a program for impressive people. Christ came for sinners, and salvation is God’s work from beginning to end.
Work for the neighbor
Vocation is ordinary life received as an arena for loving the people God has placed near us. That understanding shapes how I think about companies, software, restaurants, education, and service.
A student, not your pastor
